The forestry company Gabon China International Company (GCIC) holds Associated Forestry Permits (PFA) No. 99/04, 93/04, and 36/00, by decree No. 000126/MEFPEPGDE/SG/DGF/DDF/SPF of May 20, 2017, transferring the Lébé Forest Management Unit (UFA-Lébé), covering an area of 56,860 hectares located in the Moyen-Ogooué and Ngounié provinces. On June 5, 2018, GCIC was granted a new forestry permit by decree No. 000604/MEFDD/SG/DGF/DDF/SPF, transferring PFA 03/16, covering 24,600 hectares. To this end, on November 27, 2018, the Gabonese company China International Company (GCIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Forests to integrate PFA 03/16 into the UFA-Lébé, covering a total area of 81,474 hectares, and to comply with the regulatory provisions of: - Law 016/01 of December 31, 2001, establishing the Forestry Code in the Gabonese Republic; - Decree 689/PR/MEFEPEPN of August 24, 2004, defining the technical standards for the sustainable management and development of registered productive state forests; - Article 6 of PFA 03/16.
